Omni Day 18-21

 

well...Today is June 2nd. I have now been on this crazy journey for a total of 2 complete months. This week I added in bikram yoga and have been going every other day. I am eating normal..which is healthy. It consists of my daily homemade smoothie with coconut water, keifer yogurt, frozen fruit and a spoonful of peanut butter. I want to add in some hemp protein. I have some fish and salad for lunch and the same for dinner...or chicken.
My TAM workout some days is all 30 minutes of MS and other days it is just arms and abs. I do not do the dance cardio, it hurts my knees.
As of today, I am down 33.25 inches and 18 lbs.

Omni Day 18

With my TAM Complete and a great deal on livingsocial.com...I am about to leave the house for Mile High Bikram Yoga. It is only about 10 blocks away and for $39.00 for unlimited 1 month..how could I say no. I haven't done Bikram in years...Im talking maybe 6 years. I do know that it is great and works and you feel nice and sweaty and clean after the shower...so hopefully it will be a nice added touch to my day.
However, I am not looking forward to having to pay full price next month.

Omni Day 17

I just finished my workout and am not really sure how I feel. I stare at my thighs and get angry...then I bang them like drums just to get my annoyances out. I should be on day 26 yet I am 9 days behind. I'm annoyed. My workout group online has gotten a bit unfocused all together and jumps from diet to diet from workout to workout not giving anything a chance to work. In addition I am not sure how many of them really workout and challenge themselves each day. It is bothersome because I would like to be able to truly converse with them about my daily activities and workouts.
Now that I am on a pretty regular work schedule..almost all nights...and have purchased a Bikram Yoga livingsocial.com deal, I will add that all in and make a schedule starting tomorrow. The studio is about 10 blocks away so I can walk there. I think it may help with my cardio since I do slack in that area.
I am not feeling that since I got home from Florida I have been very motivated. I eat fine so I don't think that is my problem. My issue is just consistency, which I think is most peoples when it comes to exercise. I have still kept my 12 lbs off but would like to lose another 6 or so....
My attitude has been fine...except first thing in the morning.

Omni day 16

Done. Ad got me weights yesterday, so no more soup cans for me. I definitely felt a differencd, but my left knee was killing me so I had to take it easy on my flood workout. I completed it all...i really hope I can see a difference soon.
I am really just not feeling it...ill keep going though.

Omni day 15

Mayve I am back in my groove. I wish I had a pedometer to measure how much I walked at work yesterday with my doubld.
Last night I did eat at midnight when I got home. I had some whole wheat pasta, tomatos and salmon.
For breakfast today I had a slice of mediteranean pizza...we have nothing in the house. Adam is going to pick up a few things when he gets out of work so that I can make my keifer smoothies in the morning. At work I hace been eating just chicken and green veggies. I am still drinking my cayenne, lemon and water...love it.
Today I did my workout...it was fairly easy. Not sure really how mich meta is challenging me. Results are in 5 more days so we shall see. I am still not doing cardio...maybe ill do the bc cardio, I dont mind that one and with all the running around im doing at work, not sure how much I am really missing out on when it comes to cardio.

Omni day 14

Finally, I did it. My work schedule has been nuts lately, but I noticed I had no energy yesterday while running around the restaurant. So, the busser Jesse said its because you missed your workout. Today, since I have a double ahead of me, I did arms and abs of omni today. I did not do legs...i figured that running around the restaurant for 11 hours is somewhat equal to a leg workout and cardio.
My eating has been fine and weighing myself this morning I was at 121. So, alls good. I havent really dropped any weight this month so far on omni, but my workouts havr slacked a bit. At least I havent gained. Measurements are next week, so we shall see whats really going on.

Recovery

Im on the plane, phone in airplane mode...
Today was rough. I felt fine and then around 9 am, my periferal vision decided to go bonkers. I developed a headache on the left side of my face. I though my head was going to burst.
I came to learn this is what is considered to be a hangover...not a big drinker, I had no idea
I layed...no plopper my body down on the sand, the beautiful sand of clearwater and prayed for the pounding to stop. It didnt. I did send adam to the waterfront to take a picture of a beach I never really saw. . After 4 wobbly trips to the public restroom and a few hours of trying to sleep, it was time for lunch.
I sat at the table with my head on the marble tabletop and nibbled some lettuce.
We arrived at the airport around 4 and after another hours nap I felt my appetite come around and my conversation skills resume. I had a greasy sub... And boarded the plane. Here I sit, in my bathing suit and coverup with sand still plastered behind my knees. It is snowing in Denver which will make for a fun cold bus ride home.
Tomorrow I will begin Omni day 14, wih week 3 nutrient boost and a full work schedule. (for which I am very happy)
Seeing as tomorrow is the 19, I a few days behind in my workout calendar, but its ok. I am one dedicated cookie.
August 20 is my brothers wedding and another short family beach vacation...mus look even more fabulous then now :)

Omni day today

Today should be day 14, but as we are sharing a hotel room and flying home today I am not sure there will be the availability of a dvd player until really late tonight.
Last night we sat outside and listened to music with beer in hand. I had coors light but drank 4 and ate crab cakes. I thought I ordered crab legs as a healthier choice, but that wasnt what I got in return.
I havent gone number 2 in 2 days which is now rare for me and feel gross. I also havent slept well since we got here friday due to eating late, strange schedules and a lot of snoring around me.
I am very excited to go home and being week 3 being a cleanse week. We dont have groceries in the house but hopefully while I at work on thursday I can send adam to pick up everything I need.
I am going to try to commit to a full 7 days of strict and major planned workouts and eating just to readjust back to the tight schedule and commitment I had going on before.
When we first got back to florida for this mini vacation, I felt great and healthy...but as our trip is coming to a close I feel yuck and very off.
We did take a photo on the pier yestersay and I can definitely see a difference in my legs which are my number 1 problem area, so I am really happy about that, but I still know I need to refocus.
I wish the omni menu was more specific and fun to cook like the first 30 days.

Omni Day 13

Day 13... On vacation at mother in laws... Put dvd in computer and rocked out this am. Did 10 minutes of cardio and only mild knee issues. It must be the dryness of colorado that is giving me problems.
Last night we had eggplant parm and salad. I enjoyed it very much.

Omni Day 10, 11, 12, & 13

Well I am on sequence 2 finally. I like it a bit better. I still think the arms and abs should be run through twice and the legs I am still working on my balance.
Today is Day 13 but I am taking it off.
On day 11 we flew to Florida for a very quick family celebration and vacation. We have been eating out and at parties, but I have done my best to eat Tracy approved type menu. ... meat and spinach...eggs and fruit etc. I am still drinking my tea and feeling great.
Today at the party I felt great, feel I looked great and everything was just fantastic.
I love the confidence and determination that I have gained from this whole TAM experience.

Omni Day 9

Day 9 is done. No cardio, only waitressing. My food intake was good. Homemade fruit smoothie with spinach for breakfast, kashi bar for snack, veggies w/ salmon for lunch, veggies for dinner, popcorn for snack.
Not bad for the day.
Workout complete.
Tomorrow is measurement day. I am not sure what a difference these last 10 days have made. However, I did make hot tea with cayenne and lemon to help with my water retention for the evening. My energy level is good and I am really excited to be almost done with level 1!

Omni Day 8

UGH. I am going to be completely honest. Where on earth did my motivation go? I have no desire to do my workout. I have no feelings like it is really even working. I saw such dramatic results in the 30 day and here I am on Day 10 (supposed to be) yet I am only on 8 because I keep skipping my workouts because they don't do anything! The meal plan now is too simple and definitely not as fun to cook for or to eat and really disappointed in this whole darn $100 meta. I think that TAM really sold herself short in the preparation of this.
Maybe is it PMS and just my mood...but,, I am really not too excited at this point. I know I will continue, but definitely don't want to.
Adam and I walked about 6 miles today, Im sun burnt, tired and really not in the mood, however, what is an hour of workout?
I had 1 egg with 2 pieces of turkey bacon for breakfast. a kashi bar for lunch and sweet tomatoes salad for dinner. I had a tiny bit of chili and mac and cheese there too.
Really feeling down.

Finally

I returned my Saucony Sneakers and bought a pair of Asics yesterday. Originally $179.99 and I gout them for $99.00
They have nice squishy padding on the heels and quite a forgiving toe. I very much needed them because of my old Nike Free's. I have  had some issues with my knees lately. But, after talking to the pharmacist, she said it is dehydration...interesting. I can't wait to do my DC with these. I am off to get dressed for my first full hour of workout in a week. My MS only takes about 20 minutes and then I extend it to 30 by adding in arms and abs twice. I am really excited waiting for day 11 so I can switch to the second sequence. I hope it is more challenging.

Omni Day 7

So, Today was day 7. I did my workout. Ate right and then went to work. Today, as a food runner at The Cheesecake Factory..I must have burned quite a few hundred calories running around on Mother's Day. The busiest day of the year.
I did pick up new sneakers today. After I workout with them tomorrow, Ill let you know what I think.

Is now complete. This morning got in my workout and realized once again, its not that hard if you just get up, get in your gym clothes and do it!

Omni Day 6...Not

So, today Adam and I walked about 8 miles and I did not workout. So, today is my rest day...in addition to yesterday's rest day...so tomorrow will be my day 6 and well...I will continue on until my day 14 rest day.
Confused? Me too.
I am not really getting this workout much, but it could be because I am not as dedicated for some reason this week. Hmm...
Tomorrow, I swear it.
I am not eating poorly, today I wanted breakfast so instead of a puree, I made 1 egg and 2 slices of turkey bacon with oatmeal and blueberries and I loved every second of it. We went out for lunch and I split a sandwich and salad with Adam. The sandwich had a ton of calories, but even after myfitness pal, I clocked in under 1000 for the day which was where I wanted to be....even without my workout.
I am not going to weigh or measure until next Thursday...which will give me plenty of days into the exercise and hopefully at the end of my lady time so my numbers will be more accurate...we shall see.

Omni Day 5

Today is a bust...in a nutshell.
I had to work today from 10:15-6 which means I left around 9:15. We had a huge family issue last night and I didn't sleep well. Then, this morning I was on the phone and talking through all of it.
I had carrot and parsnip puree for breakfast. For lunch I had a COBB salad with no dressing and I haven't even begun to think about dinner.
I did not work out and doubt I will get it done tonight.
Most of my premade foods are gone. A few actually went bad in the fridge.

Omni day 4

Ok, so today is Day 4. I wizzed through my workout and actually replayed the first 10 minutes (abs and arms) and then attempted to step touch the dance cardio. Well, that is impossible because you just want to jump all the time. So, I stopped. My knee is being a bitch and I am food running tonight at work so I should get some cardio in there :) Also, when I get new sneakers I know it will help, but I really need money before that happens...maybe in June then.
In the meantime, I am eating well. I absolutely love making kale chips and eating them like crazy.
I have started using myfitnesspal.com and the app on my phone. It really shows you how much you burn, take in, should lose etc. It says if I follow along this path, in 5 weeks I should have my 10 lbs gone. The TAM menu is very low cal...but I am not ever hungry so I think it is okay.
I am not overly sore, but I feel a difference in my legs mostly. I can also see a difference in the skin above my knee. It looks like it is tighter and not so wrinkly...which I love because I hate wearing shorts and maybe this summer I will buy my first pair in years.

Omni Day 3

This morning I got up and had my MS work done in time to then get ready for work. It wasn't so difficult, but I may run through the arms and abs portion twice...I feel like Im not getting a good enough workout with them. I ate all my puree's and stayed within my cleanse even though I went to work.
However, my knees are acting weird. I have never had an injury or anything before so I don't know why they hurt. I definitely know that I need new shoes and my work ones should be in soon. Hopefully that will help. I am not going to do my DC tonight. I know that that is bad, but I just don't want to ruin something. Maybe it is an excuse but throbbing knees is not something a 30 year old should have.
If Adam goes to the gym tonight, I will go and walk on the treadmill while he works out to stay moving, but I don't want to do any jumping. Maybe I should just step touch the DC...who knows.
So, that is day 3. It is going by quickly. I can't wait to be a part of the real weeks of food, I don't think my cravings will be as bad then. We shall see.
