bling box

This is the coolest...The Bling Box. It hangs on your wall like a painting, yet holds tons of jewelry inside and has a mirror on the inside cover. They run between $150-$300. I think this is way more attractive then a floor jewelry hutch. The fronts are also interchangeable.

avon

My mom sells Avon and although I have never actually promoted her products...Im going to tell you about some of my favorites.
I am a major fan of nail polish. I paint mine at leas twice a week and can't stand chipping, uneven coats etc. Avon Nailware Pro is some of the best polish I have found. It stays put, dries fast and goes on thick enough for only one coat. It also is shiny enough that it requires no topcoat.
Im also fortunate enough to get to try a lot of the makeup. Although I don't know too much about makeup I am a huge fan of these eye quads. They come in different shades...blues, greens, smokes, browns, purples etc. The consistency is a very creamy powder that really stays on awhile and the colors look great together.
Lastly, Avon has clothing...I know most of you didn't know this. I actually own quite a few dresses and now some tops. They are almost all pretty fashion forward, multifunctional and last. I always get compliments when I wear my Avon clothes and when I tell them where I got them..always in shock.

Omni Day 9

Day 9 is done. No cardio, only waitressing. My food intake was good. Homemade fruit smoothie with spinach for breakfast, kashi bar for snack, veggies w/ salmon for lunch, veggies for dinner, popcorn for snack.
Not bad for the day.
Workout complete.
Tomorrow is measurement day. I am not sure what a difference these last 10 days have made. However, I did make hot tea with cayenne and lemon to help with my water retention for the evening. My energy level is good and I am really excited to be almost done with level 1!

First Kiss

A most adorable video of a first kiss with the cutest elementary school kids.

shopping

So, all I really own are dress clothes for work...for a business job that I no longer have. Adam and I made a trip to Old Navy. One bus and one light rail later we found ourselves in Park Meadows...Beautiful mall.
Shorts...I know. Me! I know own 2 pairs. These are 5 in. and were on sale for $15. They are a thicker khaki material and were much needed for the heat here.

This skirt I have owned before. It is a foldover skirt that I think I wore for 8 years or so. It was time for a new one. Perfect to lounge around the house, to dress up with wedges and jewelry for a night out, and pair with a tank for errands...or a beach coverup!

I bought this because Adam said it looked nice and every person on TV said that this is the color of the season. I was concerned being 5 feet tall that I would look round and squat. But, the material is really light and it looked nice as a summer get up.

Usually I buy tight tank tops to wear everyday of the summer. But after trying this on...I want it in every color.. It was light, didn't cling and felt great...especially in the summer heat. And those of you whole know me...it isn't solid! It is probably one of the only not solid pieces of clothing I now own.

and finally, what would a trip to Old navy be if you didn't pick up a pair of metalic flops for $2.50?

Omni Day 8

UGH. I am going to be completely honest. Where on earth did my motivation go? I have no desire to do my workout. I have no feelings like it is really even working. I saw such dramatic results in the 30 day and here I am on Day 10 (supposed to be) yet I am only on 8 because I keep skipping my workouts because they don't do anything! The meal plan now is too simple and definitely not as fun to cook for or to eat and really disappointed in this whole darn $100 meta. I think that TAM really sold herself short in the preparation of this.
Maybe is it PMS and just my mood...but,, I am really not too excited at this point. I know I will continue, but definitely don't want to.
Adam and I walked about 6 miles today, Im sun burnt, tired and really not in the mood, however, what is an hour of workout?
I had 1 egg with 2 pieces of turkey bacon for breakfast. a kashi bar for lunch and sweet tomatoes salad for dinner. I had a tiny bit of chili and mac and cheese there too.
Really feeling down.

Finally

I returned my Saucony Sneakers and bought a pair of Asics yesterday. Originally $179.99 and I gout them for $99.00
They have nice squishy padding on the heels and quite a forgiving toe. I very much needed them because of my old Nike Free's. I have  had some issues with my knees lately. But, after talking to the pharmacist, she said it is dehydration...interesting. I can't wait to do my DC with these. I am off to get dressed for my first full hour of workout in a week. My MS only takes about 20 minutes and then I extend it to 30 by adding in arms and abs twice. I am really excited waiting for day 11 so I can switch to the second sequence. I hope it is more challenging.

he wants bacon

This was the cute viral video of the day on the news...such a cute puppy...

work shoes

At work, they debt your check for a pair of mandatory nonskid shoes. I tried to pick somewhat stylish ones and these worked perfect. I got the Skechers Snapdragons. Tip, every single darn night when you get home, you must wipe them down and on the first night, wear bandaids..new shoes still = blisters.

Omni Day 7

So, Today was day 7. I did my workout. Ate right and then went to work. Today, as a food runner at The Cheesecake Factory..I must have burned quite a few hundred calories running around on Mother's Day. The busiest day of the year.
I did pick up new sneakers today. After I workout with them tomorrow, Ill let you know what I think.
