Easter Egg Hunt for the Visually Impaired
I love this. I saw this on the news yesterday and wanted to share. Here in Denver, as I am sure in many other places is have Easter Egg hunts for little ones. Of course the colorful eggs are hidden by the Easter Bunny and they all run out to find them...and the chocolate inside.
I guess I never stopped to think about the kids who are visually impaired. How on earth do they get to enjoy this great tradition? Qwest Internet company used old cell phones to manipulate Easter eggs. They made them beep and blink.
55 children participated in the hunt with more than 400 eggs. This now takes place in 13 states.
I think it is an absolutely fabulous idea!
